The Saints beat the Vulcans 97-89 on Tuesday in Lacey, Wash., holding UHH to 21 percent (3 of 14) shooting from 3-point range.

Parker Farris scored a team-high 23 points, hitting 12 of 12 free throws, for the Vuls (1-2). But he was ice cold from the field, going 5 of 14, including 1 of 5 from long distance.

Farris’ teammate, Eric Wattree, had a rough night. Wattree went 0 of 6 from the field, including 0 of 4 on 3-point attempts.

Darius Johnson-Wilson added 19 points on 7 of 13 shooting to bump up the Vuls’ shooting percentage to 42 percent from the field.

Tyler Copp scored 24 points to lead the Saints (3-0).
